NU107 CLOSING REMARKS (THE LONGEST EVER SPEECH I WROTE)

Nu107.5FM family,
At first reaction, i was shocked and can't believe for what i've heard. What?!? Nu107 signing off??? my first reply is a BIG NO!!!, it can't be... second thought, what happened??? Anyway, i don't have an extraordinary powers to fix this thing. All i have to do now is to thank everything, reminisce some good 'ol rockin days from the said FM station.
I still remember the Xmas season of 1987, which the same year my first ever created comic book called "abstract" usually action/adventure stories, themes. I discovered Nu107 that month, they usually plays Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, The Cure tracks and some classic rock to name a few. It was great! coz the bands are my childhood music heroes.
1988, i've noticed my classmate has a nylon necklace with black nylon pendant "Nu107". I asked him, plead that i wanna buy it from him. Fortunately, he sold it to me and i was very happy coz i really want it.
1991, Nu107 introduced Nirvana to Phillippine airwave and this is the highlight of my generation and beyond that i never ever replace or trade in any music form. Nirvana, specially Kurt Cobain changed the phase of music history forever.
From a fledgling production in 1993, the Nu107 Rock Awards irrevocably carved its niche in the Pinoy rock psyche. The brainchild of Nu107, this annual event initially just wanted to honor and recognize Pinoy rock talent. As a station revered as a veritable haven, a solace of sorts for rockers continually striving against the beaten path of ballads and pop music, Nu107 has unquestionably won a starring role in the transformation of Filipino music. Not only has it encompassed the global rock scene in general, and the Philippine rock scene in particular, it has also taken under its wing, and successfully promoted underground, unsigned, and otherwise unknown Pinoy musicians. The Nu Rock Awards is this station's baby, that one bright star among many in the Philippine music galaxy.
2010, now is my opportunity to thank all the people behind this great company that touched my music life and everybody's lives specially who loves rock music in the country.
I wanna thank all the hardworking, potential jocks: Francis, Charlie, Russ Davis, Roxy, Joyce, Zach, Joey, Tahbita, Jelly jean, Myrene, Mondo, Andi, Dylan, Monica, Kim, Jamo, Trish, Jay, Shannen, Jewel, Pontri, Cousin howgie, Capt. Eddie, Cyrus, Gang, Lourd, Jerry, Nine inch neil, and to Roanna, who also a huge Nirvana fan like me, who became my good friend. A very down to earth person, talented, beautiful inside and out, knows a lot of languages, who believes in my character, craft, passion for music. i will never forget you, the day you interviewed me on air as Memorabilia collector/Nu107 fan since 1987 and introduced Sir Chris, thank you so much Sir Chris for the Nu107 limited edition souvenir, i really appreciate it a lot. To new jocks (from DJ DAY AUDITION that i'm cheering for) April "page against the machine" and eeve.
To Sir Atom, Sir Quark and to all the staffs, crews, security guards, to all the people that i forgot, you know who you are...You rock!!!
Aia De Leon of IMAGO is indeed true..."Nu107 listeners are intelligent"...
In every relationship, it's difficult to say goodbye, my relationship to Nu107 is mutual, a Rock FM station that i grew up, my home of new rock (literally) and everyone's home of new rock. We all rocks and i know in the future, we'll see each other again in a grand reunion (cross my fingers)...
It's been an emotional, crying week to me while hearing jocks crying... Again, from the bottom of my heart, million thanks and Nu107 will not die.... Long live Nu107... Live forever... I LOVE YOU ALL.....RAKENROL!!!! \m/

Kaecee, Nu107 fan since 1987
