SEASON FINALE: NIRVANA MTV UNPLUGGED IN NEW YORK












    17 years ago today when Nirvana and MTV showcased the music highlight of 1993. Selected longtime fans, close friends, music artists witnessed the historic softer side like scented toilet papers of Nirvana, specially Kurt Cobain's promise to MTV and die hard fans to perform for MTV creation's MTV UNPLUGGED.
    Kurt Cobain requested to producer Scott Litt a bunch of big white lillys and candles on stage like a funeral. The whole thing had a completely meaning after five months.
    Two hours before the official taping, Nirvana rehearsed "come as you are", "polly", "plateau", "pennyroyal tea", and "the man who sold the world".
    The entire shoot, one reel tape, no cuts was featured on "Nirvana MTV Unplugged in new york DVD" and the MTV version was aired on MTV networks TV special globally in april,1994. The smashing hit first single "all apologies" made it to the top on TV and radio history in 1994.
    December 18, 1994: official released of Nirvana MTV Unplugged in new york in audio CD's and Cassettes, im pretty excited that time to play the first track "about a girl"...Kurt Cobain's classic opening line "this is off from first record most people don't know it"...
    December 21, 2007: MTV and David Geffen Company/Universal finally released for the first time on DVD in US...
    December 22, 2007: The global released and i'm proud to be the first filipino who bought the "Nirvana MTV Unplugged in new york DVD" registered by TOWER RECORDS....Its an amazing feeling that finally i watched the complete "Nirvana MTV Unplugged in new york", my favorite Nirvana concert ever...
